Enochwalkedwith God;and he was not, for Godtookhim.
but ifwe walkin the Lightas He Himselfis in the Light,we havefellowshipwith one another,and the bloodof JesusHis Soncleansesus from allsin.
Then Enochwalkedwith Godthreehundredyearsafterhe becamethe fatherof Methuselah,and he had[other] sonsand daughters.
And He saidto him, "TrulyI sayto you, todayyou shall be with Me in Paradise."
As they were goingalong and talking,behold,[there appeared] a chariotof fireand horsesof firewhich separatedthe twoof them. And Elijahwentup by a whirlwindto heaven.
Their fatherJacobsaidto them, "You have bereavedme of my children:Josephis nomore,and Simeonis nomore,and you would takeBenjamin;allthese things are againstme."
He returnedto his brothersand said,"The boyis not [there]; as for me, wheream I to go?"
Thussaysthe LORD,"A voiceis heardin Ramah,Lamentation[and] bitterweeping.Rachelis weepingfor her children;She refusesto be comfortedfor her children,Becausethey are nomore."
And it cameabout when the LORDwas about to takeup Elijahby a whirlwindto heaven,that Elijahwentwith Elishafrom Gilgal.
"A VOICEWAS HEARDIN RAMAH,WEEPINGAND GREATMOURNING,RACHELWEEPINGFOR HER CHILDREN;AND SHE REFUSEDTO BE COMFORTED,BECAUSETHEY WERE NOMORE."
[It was] alsoabout thesemen [that] Enoch,[in] the seventh[generation] from Adam,prophesied,saying,"Behold,the Lordcamewith many thousandsof His holy ones,
So allthe daysof Enochwere threehundredand sixty-fiveyears.
Methuselahlivedone hundredand eighty-sevenyears,and becamethe fatherof Lamech.
Theseare [the records of] the generationsof Noah.Noahwas a righteousman,blamelessin his time;Noahwalkedwith God.
"He saidto me, 'The LORD,beforewhomI have walked,will sendHis angelwith you to make your journeysuccessful,and you will takea wifefor my sonfrom my relativesand from my father'shouse;
He said,"You have askeda hardthing.[Nevertheless], ifyou seeme when I am takenfrom you, it shall be sofor you; but ifnot, it shall not be [so]."
But Godwill redeemmy soulfrom the powerof Sheol,For He will receiveme. Selah.
With Your counselYou will guideme, And afterwardreceiveme to glory.
Elishasaw[it] and criedout, "My father,my father,the chariotsof Israeland its horsemen!"And he sawElijah nomore.Then he tookholdof his own clothesand torethem in twopieces.
