Twelvelionswere standingthereon the sixstepson the onesideand on the other;nothinglike[it] was madefor anyother kingdom.
[There were] sixstepsto the throneand a footstoolin goldattachedto the throne,and armson eachsideof the seat,and twolionsstandingbesidethe arms.
When she saw,as she waited,[That] her hopewas lost,She tookanotherof her cubsAnd madehim a younglion.
For I [will be] like a lionto EphraimAnd like a younglionto the houseof Judah.I, even I, will tearto pieces and goaway, I will carryaway, and therewill be noneto deliver.
Their deedswill not allowthem To returnto their God.For a spiritof harlotryis withinthem, And they do not knowthe LORD.
The remnantof JacobWill be among the nations,AmongmanypeoplesLike a lionamong the beastsof the forest,Like a younglionamong flocksof sheep,Which,ifhe passesthrough,Tramplesdownand tears,And thereis noneto rescue.
"Behold,a peopleriseslike a lioness,And as a lionit liftsitself; It will not liedownuntilit devoursthe prey,And drinksthe bloodof the slain."
"He couches,he liesdownas a lion,And as a lion,whodares rousehim? Blessedis everyone who blessesyou, And cursedis everyone who cursesyou."
then[comes] the end,whenHe handsover the kingdomto the Godand Father,whenHe has abolishedallruleand allauthorityand power.
Of Gadhe said,"Blessedis the one who enlargesGad;He liesdownas a lion,And tearsthe arm,alsothe crownof the head.
and oneof the elderssaidto me, "Stopweeping;behold,the Lionthat is from the tribeof Judah,the Rootof David,has overcomeso as to openthe bookand its sevenseals."
