Now the eyesof Israelwere [so] dimfrom age[that] he couldnot see.Then Joseph broughtthem closeto him, and he kissedthem and embracedthem.
Now it cameabout, whenIsaacwas oldand his eyeswere toodimto see,that he calledhis oldersonEsauand saidto him, "My son."And he saidto him, "HereI am."
So he camecloseand kissedhim; and when he smelledthe smellof his garments,he blessedhim and said,"See,the smellof my sonIs like the smellof a fieldwhichthe LORDhas blessed;
Earlyin the morningLabanarose,and kissedhis sonsand his daughtersand blessedthem. Then Labandepartedand returnedto his place.
He kissedallhis brothersand wepton them, and afterwardhis brotherstalkedwith him.
Israelsaidto Joseph,"I neverexpectedto seeyour face,and behold,Godhas let me seeyour childrenas well."
When IsraelsawJoseph'ssons,he said,"Whoare these?"
He leftthe oxenand ranafterElijahand said,"Pleaselet me kissmy fatherand my mother,then I will followyou." And he saidto him, "Gobackagain,for whathave I doneto you?"
in the daythat the watchmenof the housetremble,and mightymenstoop,the grindingones standidlebecausethey are few,and those who lookthrough windowsgrowdim;
Behold,the LORD'Shandis not soshortThat it cannotsave;Noris His earsodullThat it cannothear.
"Renderthe heartsof thispeopleinsensitive,Their earsdull,And their eyesdim,Otherwisethey might seewith their eyes,Hearwith their ears,Understandwith their hearts,And returnand be healed."
Although Moseswas one hundredand twentyyearsoldwhen he died,his eyewas not dim,norhis vigorabated.
It happenedat that timeas Eliwas lyingdownin his place(now his eyesighthad begunto grow dim[and] he couldnot see[well]),
Now Eliwas ninety-eightyearsold,and his eyeswere setso that he couldnot see.
