"Hearus, my lord,you are a mightyprinceamongus; buryyour deadin the choicestof our graves;noneof us will refuseyou his gravefor buryingyour dead."
and Esausaidto Jacob,"Pleaselet me havea swallowof that redstuffthere, for I am famished."Thereforehis namewas calledEdom.
May peoplesserveyou, And nationsbowdownto you; Be masterof your brothers,And may your mother'ssonsbowdownto you. Cursedbe those who curseyou, And blessedbe those who blessyou."
But Isaacrepliedto Esau,"Behold,I have madehim your master,and allhis relativesI have givento him as servants;and with grainand newwineI have sustainedhim. Now as for you then,whatcan I do,my son?"
"ThesetwentyyearsI have been in your house;I servedyou fourteenyearsfor your twodaughtersand sixyearsfor your flock,and you changedmy wagestentimes.

I haveoxenand donkeys[and] flocksand maleand femaleservants;and I have sentto tellmy lord,that I may findfavorin your sight."'"
"Pleaselet my lordpasson beforehis servant,and I will proceedat my leisure,according to the paceof the cattlethat are beforeme and according to the paceof the children,untilI cometo my lordat Seir."
And he said,"Whatdo you mean by allthiscompanywhichI have met?"And he said,"To findfavorin the sightof my lord."
So Esaulivedin the hillcountryof Seir;Esauis Edom.
Thesethen are [the records of] the generationsof Esauthe fatherof the Edomitesin the hillcountryof Seir.
"Ifyou dowell,will not [your countenance] be liftedup? And ifyou do not dowell,sinis crouchingat the door;and its desireis for you, but you must masterit."
So they girdedsackclothon their loinsand [put] ropeson their heads,and cameto the kingof Israeland said,"Your servantBen-hadadsays,'Pleaselet me live.'"And he said,"Is he stillalive?He is my brother."
Aaronsaid,"Do not let the angerof my lordburn;you knowthe peopleyourself,that they are prone to evil.
A gentleanswerturnsawaywrath,But a harshwordstirsup anger.
By forbearancea rulermay be persuaded,And a softtonguebreaksthe bone.
Dothisthen,my son,and deliveryourself;Sinceyou have comeinto the handof your neighbor,Go,humbleyourself, and importuneyour neighbor.

"For everyonewho exaltshimselfwill be humbled,and he who humbleshimselfwill be exalted."
justas SarahobeyedAbraham,callinghim lord,and you have becomeher childrenif you do what is rightwithoutbeing frightenedby anyfear.
"LORD,when You wentout from Seir,When You marchedfrom the fieldof Edom,The earthquaked,the heavensalsodripped,Eventhe cloudsdrippedwater.
