"He will pitchthe tentsof his royalpavilionbetweenthe seasand the beautifulHolyMountain;yet he will cometo his end,and noonewill helphim.
He will speakout againstthe MostHighand weardownthe saintsof the HighestOne,and he will intendto makealterationsin timesand in law;and they will be giveninto his handfor a time,times,and halfa time.
"While I was contemplatingthe horns,behold,anotherhorn,a littleone,cameup amongthem, and threeof the firsthornswere pulledout by the rootsbeforeit; and behold,thishornpossessed eyeslike the eyesof a manand a mouthutteringgreat[boasts].
"For while I was passing throughand examiningthe objects of your worship,I alsofoundan altarwith thisinscription,'TO AN UNKNOWNGOD.'Thereforewhatyou worshipin ignorance,thisI proclaimto you.
