Then onewentout into the fieldto gatherherbs,and founda wildvineand gatheredfrom it his lapfullof wildgourds,and cameand slicedthem into the potof stew,for they did not know[what they were].
When Jacobhad cookedstew,Esaucamein from the fieldand he was famished;
There was cedaron the housewithin,carved[in the shape] of gourdsand openflowers;allwas cedar,therewas nostoneseen.
When Elishareturnedto Gilgal,[there was] a faminein the land.As the sonsof the prophetswere sittingbeforehim, he saidto his servant,"Puton the largepotand boilstewfor the sonsof the prophets."
So they poured[it] out for the mento eat.And as they were eatingof the stew,they criedout and said,"O manof God,there is deathin the pot."And they were unableto eat.
Alsoit is not goodfor a personto be withoutknowledge,And he who hurrieshis footstepserrs.
"Whatmorewas there to dofor My vineyardthat I have not donein it? Why,when I expected[it] to produce[good] grapesdid it produceworthlessones?
"Yet I plantedyou a choicevine,A completelyfaithfulseed.Howthen have you turnedyourself before Me Into the degenerateshoots of a foreignvine?
But He answeredand said,"EveryplantwhichMy heavenlyFatherdid not plantshall be uprooted.
Seeto it that noonecomes shortof the graceof God;that norootof bitternessspringingup causes trouble,and by it manybe defiled;
