Allwho passalongthe wayClaptheir hands[in derision] at you; They hissand shaketheir headsAt the daughterof Jerusalem,"Is thisthe cityof whichthey said,The perfectionof beauty,A joyto allthe earth'?"
Rejoiceand be glad,O daughterof Edom,Who dwellsin the landof Uz;[But] the cupwill comearoundto you as well,You will becomedrunkand makeyourself naked.
She has fallen,she will not riseagain--The virginIsrael.She [lies] neglectedon her land;Thereis noneto raiseher up.
