"Be strongand courageous,do not fearor be dismayedbecauseof the kingof Assyrianor becauseof allthe hordethat is with him; for the one with us is greaterthanthe one with him.
norlet Hezekiahmake you trustin the LORD,saying,"The LORDwill surelydeliverus, and thiscitywill not be giveninto the handof the kingof Assyria."
He trustedin the LORD,the Godof Israel;so that afterhim there was nonelikehim among allthe kingsof Judah,nor[among those] whowere beforehim.
So he answered,"Do not fear,for those whoare with us are morethanthose whoare with them."
"Thenyou will prosper,ifyou are carefulto observethe statutesand the ordinanceswhichthe LORDcommandedMosesconcerningIsrael.Be strongand courageous,do not fearnorbe dismayed.
"Considernow,for the LORDhas chosenyou to builda housefor the sanctuary;be courageousand act."
Then Davidsaidto his sonSolomon,"Be strongand courageous,and act;do not fearnorbe dismayed,for the LORDGod,my God,is with you. He will not failyou norforsakeyou untilallthe workfor the serviceof the houseof the LORDis finished.
"But you, be strongand do not losecourage,for thereis rewardfor your work."
At that timeHananithe seercameto Asakingof Judahand saidto him, "Because you have reliedon the kingof Aramand have not reliedon the LORDyour God,thereforethe armyof the kingof Aramhas escapedout of your hand.
and he said,"Listen,allJudahand the inhabitantsof Jerusalemand KingJehoshaphat:thussaysthe LORDto you, 'Do not fearor be dismayedbecauseof thisgreatmultitude,for the battleis not yours but God's.
You [need] not fightin this[battle]; stationyourselves, standand seethe salvationof the LORDon your behalf,O Judahand Jerusalem.'Do not fearor be dismayed;tomorrowgoout to facethem, for the LORDis with you."
Allof them conspiredtogetherto come[and] fightagainst Jerusalemand to causea disturbancein it.
It is betterto takerefugein the LORDThanto trustin man.
Sayto those with anxiousheart,"Takecourage,fearnot. Behold,your Godwill come[with] vengeance;The recompenseof Godwill come,But He will saveyou."
Do not be afraidof the kingof Babylon,whomyou are [now] fearing;do not be afraidof him,' declaresthe LORD,for I am with you to saveyou and deliveryou from his hand.
He said,"O manof highesteem,do not be afraid.Peacebe with you; takecourageand be courageous!"Now as soon as he spoketo me, I receivedstrengthand said,"May my lordspeak,for you have strengthenedme."
Then he saidto me, "Thisis the wordof the LORDto Zerubbabelsaying,Not by mightnorby power,but by My Spirit,'saysthe LORDof hosts.
"Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,'In thosedaystenmenfrom allthe nationswill graspthe garmentof a Jew,saying,"Let us gowith you, for we have heardthat Godis with you."'"
"Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,'Let your handsbe strong,you who are listeningin thesedaysto thesewordsfrom the mouthof the prophets,[those] who[spoke] in the daythat the foundationof the houseof the LORDof hostswas laid,to the end that the templemight be built.
Whatthenshall we sayto these things?IfGod[is] for us, who[is] againstus?
Finally,be strongin the Lordand in the strengthof His might.
"Whenyou goout to battleagainstyour enemiesand seehorsesand chariots[and] peoplemorenumerousthanyou, do not be afraidof them; for the LORDyour God,whobroughtyou up from the landof Egypt,is with you.
Then He commissionedJoshuathe sonof Nun,and said,"Be strongand courageous,for you shall bringthe sonsof Israelinto the landwhichI sworeto them, and I will be with you."
You therefore,my son,be strongin the gracethat is in ChristJesus.
You are from God,little children,and have overcomethem; becausegreateris He who is in you thanhe who is in the world.
