You know, it's tough sometimes to ask for help, even when things are really piling up and you just don't know what to do. It's easy to try to go it alone, to wear yourself out physically and emotionally, all because you don't want to bother anyone or be judged. We build up these walls to protect ourselves, forgetting that there are people around us who genuinely want to help, and ultimately, we forget Jesus. He offers true love, never condemns, and has solutions for everything we face.
If there's anyone you should never hesitate to reach out to, it's God. He's right there with you, your rock, holding your hand and saying, "Don't be afraid, I'm here to help." He wants you to trust completely that in His hands, you'll find peace. Open your heart to Him. Tell Him everything that's going on, the good, the bad, the painful. Let it all out. Cry if you need to. Let His love heal you and lift you up.
Asking the right person for help isn't a bad thing. Jesus won't shame you or broadcast your struggles. He wants you to empty yourself, to get it all off your chest, and be free from anything that's holding you back. In every situation, He wants to work in your life and for you to share His goodness and the amazing things He does.
God loves you and cares for you like you wouldn't believe. He cares about your family, your finances, your health, everything. Remember His promise in Isaiah 41:10 (NIV): "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Notice, it doesn't say He *might* help you sometime. It says He *will* always help you. You just need to ask, trusting that He hears you and He answers.
Right here, right now, receive God's peace and the confidence to come before Him without fear. Lay it all out. Your help comes from the Creator of heaven and earth, who is good and whose mercies are new every morning.
{\b A Song of Ascents.}\par\par\tab I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains:\par\tab From whence shall my help come?
My help {\i cometh} from Jehovah,\par\tab Who made heaven and earth.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.\par
In love of the brethren be tenderly affectioned one to another; in honor preferring one another;
{\i The righteous} cried, and Jehovah heard,\par\tab And delivered them out of all their troubles.
Out of my distress I called upon Jehovah:\par\tab Jehovah answered me {\i and set me} in a large place.
Blessed {\i be} the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort;
who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
He that maketh many friends {\i doeth it} to his own destruction;\par\tab But there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.\par
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and {\b ye shall find rest unto your souls.}
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.}\par
He giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.\par
And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
And call upon me in the day of trouble:\par\tab I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.\par
Put on therefore, as God's elect, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;
Where there is no counsel, purposes are disappointed;\par\tab But in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.\par
Whither shall I go from thy Spirit?\par\tab Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:\par\tab If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there.
If I take the wings of the morning,\par\tab And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even there shall thy hand lead me,\par\tab And thy right hand shall hold me.
Thou art my hiding-place; thou wilt preserve me from trouble;\par\tab Thou wilt compass me about with songs of deliverance. {\i Selah
