VERSES ABOUT JOY

Think about it: the joy of the Lord doesn't just fill you with strength, it brings us all together. It's a joy that's not meant to be kept to yourself; it needs to be shared. Just like the Israelites were instructed to celebrate and share what they had with each other, you can spread the joy of the Lord with everyone you know.

This joy challenges you to love your neighbor and share the Gospel. When your heart is joyful in God, you are strong and empowered to spread that joy throughout your community. It's a lasting joy, something no one can take away.

Psalm 98:4-6 says, "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the Lord, the King." You can find so many verses like this that talk about the joy of our God.

Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice.

Thou wilt show me the path of life:\par\tab In thy presence is fulness of joy;\par\tab In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.\par

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye grieved; for the joy of Jehovah is your strength.

For his anger is but for a moment;\par\tab His favor is for a life-time:\par\tab Weeping may tarry for the night,\par\tab But joy {\i cometh} in the morning.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.\par

Jehovah hath done great things for us,\par\tab {\i Whereof} we are glad.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy may be in you, and {\i that} your joy may be made full.

rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer;

Be glad in Jehovah, and rejoice, ye righteous;\par\tab And shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.\par

Rejoice always;pray without ceasing;in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward.

Serve Jehovah with gladness:\par\tab Come before his presence with singing.

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be made full.\par

whom not having seen ye love; on whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory:receiving the end of {\i your} faith, {\i even} the salvation of {\i your} souls.

Cry aloud and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great in the midst of thee is the Holy One of Israel.\par

This is the day which Jehovah hath made;\par\tab We will rejoice and be glad in it.

A cheerful heart is a good medicine;\par\tab But a broken spirit drieth up the bones.

Delight thyself also in Jehovah;\par\tab And he will give thee the desires of thy heart.

for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

{\i Let} each man {\i do} according as he hath purposed in his heart: not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with a garland, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Thou hast put gladness in my heart,\par\tab More than {\i they have} when their grain and their new wine are increased.

For though the fig-tree shall not flourish,\par\tab Neither shall fruit be in the vines;\par\tab The labor of the olive shall fail,\par\tab And the fields shall yield no food;\par\tab The flock shall be cut off from the fold,\par\tab And there shall be no herd in the stalls:Yet I will rejoice in Jehovah,\par\tab I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into manifold temptations;knowing that the proving of your faith worketh patience.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me\par\tab Thy comforts delight my soul.

through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness;

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands.

Rejoice in Jehovah, O ye righteous:\par\tab Praise is comely for the upright.

Jehovah is my strength and my shield;\par\tab My heart hath trusted in him, and I am helped:\par\tab Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;\par\tab And with my song will I praise him.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

I will be glad and exult in thee;\par\tab I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;\par\tab And uphold me with a willing spirit.

Be glad in Jehovah, ye righteous;\par\tab And give thanks to his holy memorial {\i name}.\par

And day by day, continuing stedfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart,praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to them day by day those that were saved.\par

always in every supplication of mine on behalf of you all making my supplication with joy,

My lips shall shout for joy when I sing praises unto thee;\par\tab And my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah:\par\tab It shall rejoice in his salvation.

Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for Jehovah hath comforted his people, and will have compassion upon his afflicted.\par

But let all those that take refuge in thee rejoice,\par\tab Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them:\par\tab Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever;\par\tab For they are the rejoicing of my heart.

Honor and majesty are before him: Strength and gladness are in his place.

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound:\par\tab They walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.In thy name do they rejoice all the day;\par\tab And in thy righteousness are they exalted.

For thou makest him most blessed for ever:\par\tab Thou makest him glad with joy in thy presence.

The hope of the righteous {\i shall be} gladness;\par\tab But the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.}\par

Why art thou cast down, O my soul?\par\tab And {\i why} art thou disquieted within me?\par\tab Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him\par\tab {\i For} the help of his countenance.\par

that I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest.

Let the saints exult in glory:\par\tab Let them sing for joy upon their beds.

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Yea, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all:and in the same manner do ye also joy, and rejoice with me.\par

Happy is the people that is in such a case;\par\tab {\i Yea}, happy is the people whose God is Jehovah.

But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God:\par\tab Yea, let them rejoice with gladness.

Rejoice in that day, and leap {\i for joy}: for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for in the same manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.\par

Light is sown for the righteous,\par\tab And gladness for the upright in heart.

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy words were unto me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by thy name, O Jehovah, God of hosts.

Jehovah is my strength and song, And he is become my salvation: This is my God, and I will praise him; My father's God, and I will exalt him.

And yet he left not himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you from heaven rains and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with food and gladness.

And ye therefore now have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you.

What then shall we say to these things? If God {\i is} for us, who {\i is} against us?

but insomuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy.

And ye became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit;
