Biblical promises for all occasions

Imagine this: God has a promise tucked away, just for you, for every single thing you're going through. He's always there, right beside you, and He's made these amazing promises so you can trust that He's working things out and you can just rest in Him. Think about it – not one of His promises has ever failed. They've all come true.

Every single promise you ask for in Jesus' name is guaranteed. God will make it happen, for your good and for His glory. These promises are kind of like a two-way street: there's a condition and a result. The result depends on whether you meet the condition.

A promise from God is like a declaration, and it has the power to become reality, as long as you meet the conditions. Spend some time in the Bible, and you'll find tons of promises God has made. A great example is the promise of salvation in the New Covenant. Paul writes, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

See how that works? It's up to you to believe and confess that Jesus is Lord. When you do that, you activate the promise, and it comes true. God wants everyone to be saved, but not everyone unlocks the power of that promise.

Another example is Exodus 20:12: "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you." This promise from God only comes true if you honor your parents. To see God fulfill this promise in your life, you have to meet the condition, and then the result will follow.

And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.He that hath the Son hath the life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life.

For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.\par

and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.That which my Father hath given unto me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch {\i them} out of the Father's hand.

Jesus said unto her, {\cf6 I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he die, yet shall he live;and whosoever liveth and believeth on me shall never die. Believest thou this?}

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath eternal life, and cometh not into judgment, but hath passed out of death into life.

And this is the promise which he promised us, {\i even} the life eternal.

For this is the will of my Father, that every one that beholdeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.}\par

because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus {\i as} Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved:for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Blessed {\i be} the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before times eternal;

And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, {\i even} Jesus Christ.

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed,in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing.\par

For our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, {\i that it may be} conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.\par

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first;then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

{\cf6 Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me.In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, {\i there} ye may be also.

and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: for the first things are passed away.

For we know that if the earthly house of our tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens.

And there shall be night no more; and they need no light of lamp, neither light of sun; for the Lord God shall give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.\par

These things have I written unto you, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, {\i even} unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.\par

And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.}\par

But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, {\b Death is swallowed up in victory.}{\b O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?}

howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me as chief might Jesus Christ show forth all his longsuffering, for an ensample of them that should thereafter believe on him unto eternal life.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth hath eternal life.

But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, {\i it is} the gift of God;not of works, that no man should glory.

He that overcometh shall thus be arrayed in white garments; and I will in no wise blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that a death having taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

for the Lamb that is in the midst of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them unto fountains of waters of life: and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.\par

Work not for the food which perisheth, but for the food which abideth unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him the Father, {\i even} God, hath sealed.}

And every one that hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit eternal life.

Thou wilt show me the path of life:\par\tab In thy presence is fulness of joy;\par\tab In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.\par

Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my word, he shall never see death.}

but as it is written,\par\tab {\b Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not,\par\tab And {\i which} entered not into the heart of man,\par\tab Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him.}

that, as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.\par

Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is.

He hath swallowed up death for ever; and the Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of his people will he take away from off all the earth: for Jehovah hath spoken it.\par

Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.}\par

He that loveth his life loseth it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you.

let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:

but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.\par

The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have {\i it} abundantly.

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual {\i body}.

The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God:and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with {\i him}, that we may be also glorified with {\i him}.\par

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh, to him will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.\par

Herein was the love of God manifested in us, that God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world that we might live through him.

For whosoever would save his life shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.

For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.\par

who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins:

but hath now been manifested by the appearing of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,

in whom ye also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation,—in whom, having also believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,which is an earnest of our inheritance, unto the redemption of {\i God's} own possession, unto the praise of his glory.\par

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him the thousand years.\par

There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.

which we have as an anchor of the soul, {\i a hope} both sure and stedfast and entering into that which is within the veil;

but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life.}

(and the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare unto you the life, the eternal {\i life}, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us);

having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth.

whereby he hath granted unto us his precious and exceeding great promises; that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.\par

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for apart from me ye can do nothing.

Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel,\par\tab And afterward receive me to glory.

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And he that heareth, let him say, Come. And he that is athirst, let him come: he that will, let him take the water of life freely.\par

Jesus saith unto him, {\cf6 I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

we are of good courage, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.

For God appointed us not unto wrath, but unto the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

And every one that hath this hope {\i set} on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Surely goodness and lovingkindness shall follow me all the days of my life;\par\tab And I shall dwell in the house of Jehovah for ever.\par

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth are passed away; and the sea is no more.

But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Thy dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust; for thy dew is {\i as} the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead.\par

but thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.\par

And not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for {\i our} adoption, {\i to wit}, the redemption of our body.

But now they desire a better {\i country}, that is, a heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God; for he hath prepared for them a city.\par

And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.\par

Yea, I beseech thee also, true yokefellow, help these women, for they labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow-workers, whose names are in the book of life.\par

Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;

And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.Faithful is he that calleth you, who will also do it.\par

I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture.

Yet a little while, and the world beholdeth me no more; but ye behold me: because I live, ye shall live also.

For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known.

But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Fight the good fight of the faith, lay hold on the life eternal, whereunto thou wast called, and didst confess the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

Wherefore if any man is in Christ, {\i he is} a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, the new is come.

How narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it!\par

He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life; but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.\par

For Jehovah loveth justice,\par\tab And forsaketh not his saints;\par\tab They are preserved for ever:\par\tab But the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

and whom he foreordained, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.\par

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

He that overcometh, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out thence no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, and mine own new name.

Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, {\cf6 I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.}

For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol;\par\tab For he will receive me. {\i Selah

and God both raised the Lord, and will raise up us through his power.

And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.

Father, I desire that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

and there shall in no wise enter into it anything unclean, or he that maketh an abomination and a lie: but only they that are written in the Lamb's book of life.\par

for neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.\par

Wherefore, receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, whereby we may offer service well-pleasing to God with reverence and awe:

And the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy; {\i and} sorrow and sighing shall flee away.\par

who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.\par

And if thy hand or thy foot causeth thee to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from thee: it is good for thee to enter into life maimed or halt, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the eternal fire.And if thine eye causeth thee to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is good for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the hell of fire.

But the lovingkindness of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,\par\tab And his righteousness unto children's children;

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.\par

who also sealed us, and gave {\i us} the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.\par

to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life:

There remaineth therefore a sabbath rest for the people of God.

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,may be strong to apprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fulness of God.\par

Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear his voice,and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment.\par

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but Jehovah will be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.Thy sun shall no more go down, neither shall thy moon withdraw itself; for Jehovah will be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

For we know that if the earthly house of our tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens.For verily in this we groan, longing to be clothed upon with our habitation which is from heaven:

receiving the end of {\i your} faith, {\i even} the salvation of {\i your} souls.

And they sing a new song, saying,\par\tab Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood men of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,and madest them {\i to be} unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon the earth.

For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

This is my comfort in my affliction;\par\tab For thy word hath quickened me.

knowing that he that raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also with Jesus, and shall present us with you.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God.

Jesus said unto them, {\cf6 I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.\par\tab I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,\par\tab Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.For Jehovah God is a sun and a shield:\par\tab Jehovah will give grace and glory;\par\tab No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Fear not the things which thou art about to suffer: behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.

and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly {\i places}, in Christ Jesus:that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus:

Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober and set your hope perfectly on the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, {\i even} in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.But if to live in the flesh,—{\i if} this shall bring fruit from my work, then what I shall choose I know not.But I am in a strait betwixt the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ; for it is very far better:

But now being made free from sin and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end eternal life.

Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have the right to come to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

And he said unto him, {\cf6 Verily I say unto thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in Paradise.}\par

But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of them that are asleep.For since by man {\i came} death, by man {\i came} also the resurrection of the dead.For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.

Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect;\par\tab And their inheritance shall be for ever.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwelleth in you.\par

Now he that wrought us for this very thing is God, who gave unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, from within him shall flow rivers of living water.}

unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

For as the Father raiseth the dead and giveth them life, even so the Son also giveth life to whom he will.

He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.\par

And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this {\i cometh} judgment;so Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apart from sin, to them that wait for him, unto salvation.\par

that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

and the Living one; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.
