Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart,\par\tab And lean not upon thine own understanding:
In all thy ways acknowledge him,\par\tab And he will direct thy paths.
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:\par\tab I will counsel thee with mine eye upon thee.
But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
A man's goings are established of Jehovah;\par\tab And he delighteth in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;\par\tab For Jehovah upholdeth him with his hand.
and thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it; when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Show me thy ways, O Jehovah;\par\tab Teach me thy paths.
Guide me in thy truth, and teach me;\par\tab For thou art the God of my salvation;\par\tab For thee do I wait all the day.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.
and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in dry places, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;\par\tab For in thee do I trust:\par\tab Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;\par\tab For I lift up my soul unto thee.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, {\i these} shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come.
He restoreth my soul:\par\tab He guideth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Where there is no counsel, purposes are disappointed;\par\tab But in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.\par
For this God is our God for ever and ever:\par\tab He will be our guide {\i even} unto death.\par
Thus saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am Jehovah thy God, who teacheth thee to profit, who leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to the which also ye were called in one body; and be ye thankful.
There are many devices in a man's heart;\par\tab But the counsel of Jehovah, that shall stand.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.\par
Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him:\par\tab Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,\par\tab Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
For Jehovah giveth wisdom;\par\tab Out of his mouth {\i cometh} knowledge and understanding:
He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright;\par\tab {\i He is} a shield to them that walk in integrity;
That he may guard the paths of justice,\par\tab And preserve the way of his saints.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness and justice,\par\tab And equity, {\i yea}, every good path.
Establish my footsteps in thy word;\par\tab And let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Lead me, O Jehovah, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies;\par\tab Make thy way straight before my face.
But the Comforter, {\i even} the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.
Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help {\i us} in time of need.\par
Teach me thy way, O Jehovah;\par\tab And lead me in a plain path,\par\tab Because of mine enemies.
Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye doubleminded.
The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.
All the paths of Jehovah are lovingkindness and truth\par\tab Unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Where no wise guidance is, the people falleth;\par\tab But in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not; in paths that they know not will I lead them; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things will I do, and I will not forsake them.
I will bless Jehovah, who hath given me counsel;\par\tab Yea, my heart instructeth me in the night seasons.
With my whole heart have I sought thee:\par\tab Oh let me not wander from thy commandments.
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and will show thee great things, and difficult, which thou knowest not.
Teach me thy way, O Jehovah; I will walk in thy truth:\par\tab Unite my heart to fear thy name.
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes;\par\tab But he that is wise hearkeneth unto counsel.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.\par
Wait for Jehovah:\par\tab Be strong, and let thy heart take courage;\par\tab Yea, wait thou for Jehovah.\par
Thou wilt keep {\i him} in perfect peace, {\i whose} mind {\i is} stayed {\i on thee}; because he trusteth in thee.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;
casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you.
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment;
so that ye may approve the things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and void of offence unto the day of Christ;
Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law;\par\tab Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
Make me to go in the path of thy commandments;\par\tab For therein do I delight.
I have taught thee in the way of wisdom;\par\tab I have led thee in paths of uprightness.
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;
For thou art my rock and my fortress;\par\tab Therefore for thy name's sake lead me and guide me.
pray without ceasing;
in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward.
Make level the path of thy feet,\par\tab And let all thy ways be established.
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:\par\tab Remove thy foot from evil.\par
What man is he that feareth Jehovah?\par\tab Him shall he instruct in the way that he shall choose.
For thus said the Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. And ye would not:
Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of {\i our} faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Thou wilt show me the path of life:\par\tab In thy presence is fulness of joy;\par\tab In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.\par
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.
Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus:
that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man;\par\tab But the end thereof are the ways of death.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms {\i and} hymns {\i and} spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts unto God.
Rejoice the soul of thy servant;\par\tab For unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive,\par\tab And abundant in lovingkindness unto all them that call upon thee.
not in the way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
But seek ye first the kingdom {\i of God}, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Every scripture inspired of God {\i is} also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:
that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.\par
Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee:\par\tab He will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
And many peoples shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me:\par\tab He that walketh in a perfect way, he shall minister unto me.
But unto us God revealed {\i them} through the Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
This also cometh forth from Jehovah of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.\par
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.\par
Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby.
How narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it!\par
Our soul hath waited for Jehovah:\par\tab He is our help and our shield.
For our heart shall rejoice in him,\par\tab Because we have trusted in his holy name.
but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.\par
For this cause we also, since the day we heard {\i it}, do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous;\par\tab But the way of the wicked shall perish.\par
But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like the surge of the sea driven by the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord;
a doubleminded man, unstable in all his ways.\par
I will go before thee, and make the rough places smooth; I will break in pieces the doors of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron;
and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that it is I, Jehovah, who call thee by thy name, even the God of Israel.
if any man speaketh, {\i speaking} as it were oracles of God; if any man ministereth, {\i ministering} as of the strength which God supplieth: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, whose is the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.\par
Trust in Jehovah, and do good;\par\tab Dwell in the land, and feed on {\i his} faithfulness.
Delight thyself also in Jehovah;\par\tab And he will give thee the desires of thy heart.
Train up a child in the way he should go,\par\tab And even when he is old he will not depart from it.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.\par
Then shalt thou call, and Jehovah will answer; thou shalt cry, and he will say, Here I am.\par\par\tab If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedly;
I have chosen the way of faithfulness:\par\tab Thine ordinances have I set {\i before me}.
Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye are otherwise minded, this also shall God reveal unto you:
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.
{\b {\i A Psalm} of David.}\par\par\tab Jehovah is my light and my salvation;\par\tab Whom shall I fear?\par\tab Jehovah is the strength of my life;\par\tab Of whom shall I be afraid?
As for God, his way is perfect:\par\tab The word of Jehovah is tried;\par\tab He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in him.
that ye be not sluggish, but imitators of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.\par
But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Jehovah, in an acceptable time:\par\tab O God, in the abundance of thy lovingkindness,\par\tab Answer me in the truth of thy salvation.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
And he said unto all, {\cf6 If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Jehovah is nigh unto all them that call upon him,\par\tab To all that call upon him in truth.
So then let us follow after things which make for peace, and things whereby we may edify one another.
My son, forget not my law;\par\tab But let thy heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and years of life,\par\tab And peace, will they add to thee.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.}\par
I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, be made for all men;
Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, {\cf6 If ye abide in my word, {\i then} are ye truly my disciples;
and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.}
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee;\par\tab For thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, {\i even} our Lord Jesus,
make you perfect in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom {\i be} the glory for ever and ever. Amen.\par
He is in the way of life that heedeth correction;\par\tab But he that forsaketh reproof erreth.
{\b YODH.}\par\par\tab Thy hands have made me and fashioned me:\par\tab Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
For hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps:
And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for {\i us} with groanings which cannot be uttered;
and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to {\i the will of} God.
Though a host should encamp against me,\par\tab My heart shall not fear:\par\tab Though war should rise against me,\par\tab Even then will I be confident.
Receive my instruction, and not silver;\par\tab And knowledge rather than choice gold.
For wisdom is better than rubies;\par\tab And all the things that may be desired are not to be compared unto it.\par
for we are become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm unto the end:
And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah; and they that wait for me shall not be put to shame.\par
while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.\par
Through him then let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which make confession to his name.
Now he that establisheth us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God;
who also sealed us, and gave {\i us} the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.\par
But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, that they have been wrought in God.\par
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:
Do all things without murmurings and questionings:
that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye are seen as lights in the world,
