And Aḥaḇ had called Oḇaḏyahu, who was over his house. Now Oḇaḏyahu feared יהוה exceedingly.
And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbour by the word of יהוה, “Strike me, please.” But the man refused to strike him.
And when the sons of the prophets who were from Yeriḥo saw him, they said, “The spirit of Ěliyahu rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.
And the sons of the prophets who were at Bĕyth Ěl came out to Elisha, and said to him, “Do you know that יהוה is taking away your master from your head?” And he said, “I also know, be silent!”
And the sons of the prophets who were at Yeriḥo came to Elisha and said to him, “Do you know that יהוה is taking away your master from over you today?” And he said, “I also know, be silent!”
And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood facing them at a distance, while the two of them stood by the Yardĕn.
And Elisha returned to Gilgal. And the scarcity of food was in the land, and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him. And he said to his servant, “Put on the large pot, and cook stew for the sons of the prophets.”
And the man of Elohim sent to the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl, saying, “Be on guard, do not pass this place, for the Arameans are coming down there.”
and that if the peoples of the land bring wares or any grain to sell on the Sabbath day, we would not buy it from them on the Sabbath, or on a set-apart day, and we would forego the seventh year and the interest of every hand.
And I put my brother Ḥanani in command of Yerushalayim, and Ḥananyah the head of the palace, for he was a trustworthy man and feared Elohim more than many.
For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His loving-commitment toward those who fear Him;
But the loving-commitment of יהוה Is from everlasting to everlasting Upon those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children,
יהוה takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who wait for His loving-commitment.
The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.
Let us hear the conclusion of the entire matter: Fear Elohim and guard His commands, for this applies to all mankind!
Although a sinner is doing evil a hundred times, and his life is prolonged, yet I know that there is good to those who fear Elohim, who fear before Him.
Thus says יהוה, “Where is the certificate of your mother’s divorce, whom I have put away? Or which of My creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Look, you were sold for your crookednesses, and your mother was put away for your transgressions.
“At the end of seven years each one should set free his Hebrew brother, who has been sold to him. And when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you.” But your fathers did not obey Me nor incline their ear.
after he has been sold, there is a right of redemption to him – one of his brothers does redeem him,
Then shall those who fear יהוה speak to one another, and יהוה listens and hears, and a book of remembrance be written before Him, of those who fear יהוה, and those who think upon His Name.
“But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall.
but as he was unable to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made.
But he would not, and went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt.
So also My heavenly Father shall do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”
“Men, brothers, sons of the race of Aḇraham, and those among you fearing Elohim, to you the word of this deliverance has been sent,
For the judgment is without compassion to the one who has shown no compassion. And compassion boasts over judgment.
“Who shall not fear You, O יהוה, and esteem Your Name? Because You alone are kind. Because all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your righteousnesses have been made manifest.”
And a voice came from the throne, saying, “Praise our Elohim, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!”
And Elimeleḵ, husband of Na‛omi, died. And she was left with her two sons.
And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone bitter in being gathered to him. So he became head over them, and there were about four hundred men with him.
