When the ways of man shall please the Lord, he will convert even his enemies to peace.


Now Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon had given charge to Nabuzardan the general concerning Jeremias, saying:


Which when Paul's sister's son had heard, of their lying in wait, he came and entered into the castle and told Paul.


I will hear thee, said he, when thy accusers come. And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's judgment hall.


Hoping also withal, that money should be given him by Paul; for which cause also oftentimes sending for him, he spoke with him.


But Festus answered: That Paul was kept in Caesarea, and that he himself would very shortly depart thither.


And the day following we came to Sidon. And Julius treating Paul courteously, permitted him to go to his friends, and to take care of himself.


And when we were come to Rome, Paul was suffered to dwell by himself, with a soldier that kept him.


Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, without prohibition.
