A wise son gladdens the father. Yet truly, a foolish son is the grief of his mother.


He who gathers the harvest is a wise son. But he who snores in warm weather is a son of confusion.


A wise servant shall rule over foolish sons, and he will divide the inheritance among brothers.


A foolish son is the anger of the father and the grief of the mother who conceived him.


Son, do not cease listening to doctrine, and do not be ignorant of the sermons of knowledge.
