And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.


The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment For all that are oppressed.


For the oppression of the poor, For the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.


Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: Thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.


For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; He hath smitten my life down to the ground; He hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.


Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.


Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: Fight against them that fight against me.


Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, Even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.


Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? Arise, cast us not off for ever.


Arise for our help, And redeem us for thy mercies' sake.


Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, Awake to visit all the heathen: Be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.


As a dream when one awaketh; So, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.


Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; Even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary.


Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, And like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine.


The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.


Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.


Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.


Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?
