Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: But I will maintain mine own ways before him.


Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee From those that rise up against them.


He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: For they were too strong for me.


They prevented me in the day of my calamity: But the LORD was my stay.


Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: And thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.


Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; He will hear him from his holy heaven With the saving strength of his right hand.


For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, Neither did their own arm save them: But thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, Because thou hadst a favour unto them.


When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: This I know; for God is for me.


That thy beloved may be delivered; Save with thy right hand, and hear me.


And I said, This is my infirmity: But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.


Wilt thou not revive us again: That thy people may rejoice in thee?


Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.


Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.


Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.


For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.
