Which of the two did the father's will? They say to him: The first. Jesus saith to them: Amen I say to you, that the publicans and the harlots shall go into the kingdom of God before you.


For many are called, but few are chosen.


Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in thereat.


But many that are first, shall be last: and the last, first.


But I say unto you, that none of those men that were invited, shall taste of my supper.


I say to you, that even so there shall be joy in heaven upon one sinner that doth penance, more than upon ninety-nine just who need not penance.


Wherefore I say to thee: Many sins are forgiven her, because she hath loved much. But to whom less is forgiven, he loveth less.


Now the law entered in, that sin might abound. And where sin abounded, grace did more abound.


And whom he predestinated, them he also called. And whom he called, them he also justified. And whom he justified, them he also glorified.


What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who followed not after justice, have attained to justice, even the justice that is of faith.


Therefore, we also give thanks to God without ceasing: because, that when you had received of us the word of the hearing of God, you received it not as the word of men, but (as it is indeed) the word of God, who worketh in you that have believed.
