In the seventeenth year of Phacee the son of Romelia, reigned Achaz the son of Joatham king of Juda.
And the king of the Assyrians sent Tharthan and Rabsaris, and Rabsaces from Lachis to king Ezechias with a strong army to Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem: and they stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the way of the fuller's field.
And the rest of the acts of Ezechias and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought waters into the city, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda?
After him built Nehemias the son of Azboc, lord of half the street of Bethsur: as far as over against the sepulchre of David, and to the pool, that was built with great labour, and to the house of the mighty.
Go to him in the morning. Behold, he will go out to the waters: and thou shalt stand to meet him on the bank of the river. And thou shalt take in thy hand the rod that was turned into a serpent.
And have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and broken down houses to fortify the wall.

Thus saith the Lord: Go down to the house of the king of Juda, and there thou shalt speak this word,
And Isaias crieth out concerning Israel: If the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved.
