13 And there shall be still a tithing therein: and she shall turn, and shall be made a show as a turpentine-tree, and as an oak that spreadeth its branches. That which shall stand therein, shall be a holy seed.

And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.


For they have taken of their daughters for themselves and for their sons; and they have mingled the holy seed with the people of the lands. And the hand of the princes and magistrates hath been first in this transgression.


And now, as a little, and for a moment, has our prayer been made before the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant, and give us a pin in his holy place: and that our God would enlighten our eyes, and would give us a little life in our bondage.


Except the Lord of hosts had left us seed, we had been as Sodom, and we should have been like to Gomorrha.


AND there shall come forth a rod out of the root of Jesse: and a flower shall rise up out of his root.

And they shall feed the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nemrod with the spears thereof: and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian, when he shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our borders.


And I will leave in the midst of thee a poor and needy people: and they shall hope in the name of the Lord.


And there shall be in all the earth, saith the Lord, two parts in it shall be scattered, and shall perish: but the third part shall be left therein.


Did not one make her, and she is the residue of his spirit? And what doth one seek, but the seed of God? Keep then your spirit, and despise not the wife of thy youth.


And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.


And unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect which he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.


Whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ, according to the flesh, who is over all things, God blessed for ever. Amen.


And you shall remain few in number, who before were as the stars of heaven for multitude: because thou heardst not the voice of the Lord thy God.


Because thou art a holy people to the Lord thy God. The Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be his peculiar people of all peoples that are upon the earth.
