And as soon as he came to his brethren, they forthwith stript him of his outside coat, that was of divers colours:
And they took his coat, and dipped it in the blood of a kid, which they had killed.
Sending some to carry it to their father, and to say: This we have found; see whether it be thy son's coat, or not.
And she was clothed with along robe: for the king's daughters that were virgins, used such kind of garments. Then his servant thrust her out, and shut the door after her.
And taking of thy garments thou hast made thee high places sewed together on each side: and hast played the harlot upon them, as hath not been done before nor shall be hereafter.
Perhaps he is now dividing the spoils, and the fairest of the women is chosen out for him. Garments of divers colours are given to Sisara for his prey, and furniture of different kinds is heaped together to adorn the necks.
