For it is: do this, do that, a rule for this, a rule for that; a little here, a little there.’


So then, the word of the Lord to them will become: do this, do that, a rule for this, a rule for that; a little here, a little there – so that as they go they will fall backwards; they will be injured and snared and captured.


‘Son of man, set forth an allegory and tell it to the Israelites as a parable.


when anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.


But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.


He told them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field.


He told them still another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about thirty kilograms of flour until it worked all through the dough.’


He answered, ‘The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.

‘The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.


‘At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.


and saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.’


Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and illness among the people.


Then Jesus asked, ‘What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to?


Again he asked, ‘What shall I compare the kingdom of God to?


the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel


For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
