² H5971A peopleH1419greatH7311and tall[H8802] H1121, the childrenH6062of the AnakimsH3045, whom thou knowest[H8804] H8085, and of whom thou hast heard[H8804] H3320say, Who can stand[H8691] H6440beforeH1121the childrenH6061of Anak!

³ H3045Understand[H8804] H3117therefore this dayH3068, that the LORDH430thy GodH5674is he which goeth over[H8802] H6440beforeH398thee; as a consuming[H8802] H784fireH8045he shall destroy[H8686] H3665them, and he shall bring them down[H8686] H6440before thy faceH3423: so shalt thou drive them out[H8689] H6, and destroy[H8689] H4118them quicklyH3068, as the LORDH1696hath said[H8765]  unto thee.

⁴ H559Speak[H8799] H3824not thou in thine heartH3068, after that the LORDH430thy GodH1920hath cast them out[H8800] H6440from beforeH559thee, saying[H8800] H6666, For my righteousnessH3068the LORDH935hath brought me in[H8689] H3423to possess[H8800] H776this landH7564: but for the wickednessH1471of these nationsH3068the LORDH3423doth drive them out[H8688] H6440from before thee.

⁵ H6666Not for thy righteousnessH3476, or for the uprightnessH3824of thine heartH935, dost thou go[H8802] H3423to possess[H8800] H776their landH7564: but for the wickednessH1471of these nationsH3068the LORDH430thy GodH3423doth drive them out[H8688] H6440from beforeH6965thee, and that he may perform[H8687] H1697the wordH3068which the LORDH7650sware[H8738] H1unto thy fathersH85, AbrahamH3327, IsaacH3290, and Jacob.

⁶ H3045Understand[H8804] H3068therefore, that the LORDH430thy GodH5414giveth[H8802] H2896thee not this goodH776landH3423to possess[H8800] H6666it for thy righteousnessH6203; for thou art a stiffneckedH7186 H5971people.

⁷ H2142Remember[H8798] H7911, and forget[H8799] H3068not, how thou provokedst the LORDH430thy GodH7107to wrath[H8689] H4057in the wildernessH4480: fromH3117the dayH3318that thou didst depart out[H8804] H776of the landH4714of EgyptH935, until ye came[H8800] H4725unto this placeH4784, ye have been rebellious[H8688] H5973againstH3068the LORD.

⁸ H2722Also in HorebH7107ye provokedH3068the LORDH7107to wrath[H8689] H3068, so that the LORDH599was angry[H8691] H8045with you to have destroyed[H8687]  you.

⁹ H5927When I was gone up[H8800] H2022into the mountH3947to receive[H8800] H3871the tablesH68of stoneH3871, even the tablesH1285of the covenantH3068which the LORDH3772made[H8804] H3427with you, then I abode[H8799] H2022in the mountH705fortyH3117daysH705and fortyH3915nightsH398, I neither did eat[H8804] H3899breadH8354nor drink[H8804] H4325water:

¹⁰ H3068And the LORDH5414delivered[H8799] H8147unto me twoH3871tablesH68of stoneH3789written[H8803] H676with the fingerH430of GodH1697; and on them was written according to all the wordsH3068, which the LORDH1696spake[H8765] H2022with you in the mountH8432out of the midstH784of the fireH3117in the dayH6951of the assembly.

¹¹ H7093And it came to pass at the endH705of fortyH3117daysH705and fortyH3915nightsH3068, that the LORDH5414gave[H8804] H8147me the twoH3871tablesH68of stoneH3871, even the tablesH1285of the covenant.

¹² H3068And the LORDH559said[H8799] H6965unto me, Arise[H8798] H3381, get thee down[H8798] H4118quicklyH5971from hence; for thy peopleH3318which thou hast brought forth[H8689] H4714out of EgyptH7843have corrupted[H8765] H4118themselves; they are quicklyH5493turned aside[H8804] H1870out of the wayH6680which I commanded[H8765] H6213them; they have made[H8804] H4541them a molten image.

¹³ H3068Furthermore the LORDH559spake[H8799] H559unto me, saying[H8800] H7200, I have seen[H8804] H5971this peopleH6203, and, behold, it is a stiffneckedH7186 H5971people:

¹⁴ H7503Let me alone[H8685] H8045, that I may destroy[H8686] H4229them, and blot out[H8799] H8034their nameH8064from under heavenH6213: and I will make[H8799] H854ofH1471thee a nationH6099mightierH7227and greater than they.

¹⁵ H6437So I turned[H8799] H3381and came down[H8799] H2022from the mountH2022, and the mountH1197burned[H8802] H784with fireH8147: and the twoH3871tablesH1285of the covenantH8147were in my twoH3027hands.

¹⁶ H7200And I looked[H8799] H2398, and, behold, ye had sinned[H8804] H3068against the LORDH430your GodH6213, and had made[H8804] H4541you a moltenH5695calfH5493: ye had turned aside[H8804] H4118quicklyH1870out of the wayH3068which the LORDH6680had commanded[H8765]  you.

¹⁷ H8610And I took[H8799] H8147the twoH3871tablesH7993, and cast[H8686] H5921them out ofH8147my twoH3027handsH7665, and brake[H8762] H5869them before your eyes.

¹⁸ H5307And I fell down[H8691] H6440beforeH3068the LORDH7223, as at the firstH705, fortyH3117daysH705and fortyH3915nightsH398: I did neither eat[H8804] H3899breadH8354, nor drink[H8804] H4325waterH2403, because of all your sinsH2398which ye sinned[H8804] H6213, in doing[H8800] H7451wickedlyH5869in the sightH3068of the LORDH3707, to provoke him to anger[H8687] .

¹⁹ H3025For I was afraid[H8804] H6440ofH639the angerH2534and hot displeasureH3068, wherewith the LORDH7107was wroth[H8804] H8045against you to destroy[H8687] H3068you. But the LORDH8085hearkened[H8799] H6471unto me at that time also.

²⁰ H3068And the LORDH3966was veryH599angry[H8694] H175with AaronH8045to have destroyed[H8687] H6419him: and I prayed[H8691] H175for AaronH6256also the same time.

²¹ H3947And I took[H8804] H2403your sinH5695, the calfH6213which ye had made[H8804] H8313, and burnt[H8799] H784it with fireH3807, and stamped[H8799] H2912it, and ground[H8800] H3190it very small[H8687] H1854, even until it was as small[H8804] H6083as dustH7993: and I cast[H8686] H6083the dustH5158thereof into the brookH3381that descended out[H8802] H2022of the mount.

²² H8404And at TaberahH4532, and at MassahH6914, and at KibrothhattaavahH3068, ye provoked the LORDH7107to wrath[H8688] .

²³ H3068Likewise when the LORDH7971sent[H8800] H6947you from KadeshbarneaH559, saying[H8800] H5927, Go up[H8798] H3423and possess[H8798] H776the landH5414which I have given[H8804] H4784you; then ye rebelled[H8686] H6310against the commandmentH3068of the LORDH430your GodH539, and ye believed[H8689] H8085him not, nor hearkened[H8804] H6963to his voice.

²⁴ H4784Ye have been rebellious[H8688] H3068against the LORDH3117from the dayH3045that I knew[H8800]  you.

²⁵ H5307Thus I fell down[H8691] H6440beforeH3068the LORDH705fortyH3117daysH705and fortyH3915nightsH5307, as I fell down[H8694] H3068at the first; because the LORDH559had said[H8804] H8045he would destroy[H8687]  you.

²⁶ H6419I prayed[H8691] H3068therefore unto the LORDH559, and said[H8799] H136, O LordH3069GODH7843, destroy[H8686] H5971not thy peopleH5159and thine inheritanceH6299, which thou hast redeemed[H8804] H1433through thy greatnessH3318, which thou hast brought forth[H8689] H4714out of EgyptH2389with a mightyH3027hand.

²⁷ H2142Remember[H8798] H5650thy servantsH85, AbrahamH3327, IsaacH3290, and JacobH6437; look[H8799] H7190not unto the stubbornnessH5971of this peopleH7562, nor to their wickednessH2403, nor to their sin:

²⁸ H776Lest the landH3318whence thou broughtest us out[H8689] H559say[H8799] H3068, Because the LORDH3201was not able[H8800] H935to bring[H8687] H776them into the landH1696which he promised[H8765] H8135them, and because he hatedH3318them, he hath brought them out[H8689] H4191to slay[H8687] H4057them in the wilderness.

²⁹ H5971Yet they are thy peopleH5159and thine inheritanceH3318, which thou broughtest out[H8689] H1419by thy mightyH3581powerH5186and by thy stretched out[H8803] H2220arm.
