² H3068And the LORDH559spake[H8799] H559unto me, saying[H8800] ,

³ H5437Ye have compassed[H8800] H2022this mountainH7227long enoughH6437: turn[H8798] H6828you northward.

⁴ H6680And command[H8761] H5971thou the peopleH559, saying[H8800] H5674, Ye are to pass[H8802] H1366through the coastH251of your brethrenH1121the childrenH6215of EsauH3427, which dwell[H8802] H8165in SeirH3372; and they shall be afraid[H8799] H3966of you: take ye goodH8104heed[H8738]  unto yourselves therefore:

⁵ H1624Meddle[H8691] H5414not with them; for I will not give[H8799] H776you of their landH7272, no, not so much as a footH4096breadthH3709 H5414; because I have given[H8804] H2022mountH8165SeirH6215unto EsauH3425for a possession.

⁶ H7666Ye shall buy[H8799] H400meatH3701of them for moneyH398, that ye may eat[H8804] H3739; and ye shall also buy[H8799] H4325waterH3701of them for moneyH8354, that ye may drink[H8804] .

⁷ H3068For the LORDH430thy GodH1288hath blessed[H8765] H4639thee in all the worksH3027of thy handH3045: he knoweth[H8804] H3212thy walking[H8800] H1419through this greatH4057wildernessH705: these fortyH8141yearsH3068the LORDH430thy GodH2637hath been with thee; thou hast lacked[H8804] H1697nothing.

⁸ H5674And when we passed[H8799] H251by from our brethrenH1121the childrenH6215of EsauH3427, which dwelt[H8802] H8165in SeirH1870, through the wayH6160of the plainH359from ElathH6100, and from EziongaberH6437, we turned[H8799] H5674and passed[H8799] H1870by the wayH4057of the wildernessH4124of Moab.

⁹ H3068And the LORDH559said[H8799] H6696unto me, Distress[H8799] H4124not the MoabitesH1624, neither contend[H8691] H4421with them in battleH5414: for I will not give[H8799] H776thee of their landH3425for a possessionH5414; because I have given[H8804] H6144ArH1121unto the childrenH3876of LotH3425for a possession.

¹⁰ H368The EmimsH3427dwelt[H8804] H6440therein in times pastH5971, a peopleH1419greatH7227, and manyH7311, and tall[H8802] H6062, as the Anakims;

¹¹ H1992WhichH2803also were accounted[H8735] H7497giantsH6062, as the AnakimsH4125; but the MoabitesH7121call[H8799] H368them Emims.

¹² H2752The HorimsH3427also dwelt[H8804] H8165in SeirH6440beforetimeH1121; but the childrenH6215of EsauH3423succeeded[H8799] H8045them, when they had destroyed[H8686] H6440them from beforeH3427them, and dwelt[H8799] H3478in their stead; as IsraelH6213did[H8804] H776unto the landH3425of his possessionH3068, which the LORDH5414gave[H8804]  unto them.

¹³ H6965Now rise up[H8798] H5674, said I, and get you over[H8798] H5158the brookH2218ZeredH5674. And we went over[H8799] H5158the brookH2218Zered.

¹⁵ H3027For indeed the handH3068of the LORDH2000was against them, to destroy[H8800] H7130them from amongH4264the hostH8552, until they were consumed[H8800] .

¹⁶ H582So it came to pass, when all the menH4421of warH8552were consumed[H8804] H4191and dead[H8800] H7130from amongH5971the people,

¹⁷ H3068That the LORDH1696spake[H8762] H559unto me, saying[H8800] ,

¹⁸ H5674Thou art to pass over[H8802] H6144through ArH1366, the coastH4124of MoabH3117, this day:

¹⁹ H7126And when thou comest nigh[H8804] H4136over againstH1121the childrenH5983of AmmonH6696, distress[H8799] H1624them not, nor meddle[H8691] H5414with them: for I will not give[H8799] H776thee of the landH1121of the childrenH5983of AmmonH3425any possessionH5414; because I have given[H8804] H1121it unto the childrenH3876of LotH3425for a possession.

²⁰ H2803(That also was accounted[H8735] H776a landH7497of giantsH7497: giantsH3427dwelt[H8804] H6440therein in old timeH5984; and the AmmonitesH7121call[H8799] H2157them Zamzummims;

²¹ H5971A peopleH1419greatH7227, and manyH7311, and tall[H8802] H6062, as the AnakimsH3068; but the LORDH8045destroyed[H8686] H6440them beforeH3423them; and they succeeded[H8799] H3427them, and dwelt[H8799]  in their stead:

²² H6213As he did[H8804] H1121to the childrenH6215of EsauH3427, which dwelt[H8802] H8165in SeirH8045, when he destroyed[H8689] H2752the HorimsH6440from beforeH3423them; and they succeeded[H8799] H3427them, and dwelt[H8799] H3117in their stead even unto this day:

²³ H5761And the AvimsH3427which dwelt[H8802] H2699in HazerimH5804, even unto AzzahH3732, the CaphtorimsH3318, which came forth[H8802] H3731out of CaphtorH8045, destroyed[H8689] H3427them, and dwelt[H8799]  in their stead.)

²⁴ H6965Rise ye up[H8798] H5265, take your journey[H8798] H5674, and pass over[H8798] H5158the riverH769ArnonH7200: behold[H8798] H5414, I have given[H8804] H3027into thine handH5511SihonH567the AmoriteH4428, kingH2809of HeshbonH776, and his landH2490: begin[H8685] H3423to possess[H8798] H1624it, and contend[H8690] H4421with him in battle.

²⁵ H3117This dayH2490will I begin[H8686] H5414to put[H8800] H6343the dreadH3374of thee and the fearH6440of thee upon the nationsH5971 H8064that are under the whole heavenH8085, who shall hear[H8799] H8088reportH7264of thee, and shall tremble[H8804] H2342, and be in anguish[H8804] H6440because of thee.

²⁶ H7971And I sent[H8799] H4397messengersH4057out of the wildernessH6932of KedemothH5511unto SihonH4428kingH2809of HeshbonH1697with wordsH7965of peaceH559, saying[H8800] ,

²⁷ H5674Let me pass[H8799] H776through thy landH3212: I will go[H8799] H1870along by the high wayH1870 H5493, I will neither turn[H8799] H3225unto the right handH8040nor to the left.

²⁸ H7666Thou shalt sell[H8686] H400me meatH3701for moneyH398, that I may eat[H8804] H5414; and give[H8799] H4325me waterH3701for moneyH8354, that I may drink[H8804] H5674: only I will pass through[H8799] H7272on my feet;

²⁹ H1121(As the childrenH6215of EsauH3427which dwell[H8802] H8165in SeirH4125, and the MoabitesH3427which dwell[H8802] H6144in ArH6213, did[H8804] H5674unto me;) until I shall pass over[H8799] H3383JordanH776into the landH3068which the LORDH430our GodH5414giveth[H8802]  us.

³⁰ H5511But SihonH4428kingH2809of HeshbonH14would[H8804] H5674not let us pass[H8687] H3068by him: for the LORDH430thy GodH7185hardened[H8689] H7307his spiritH3824, and made his heartH553obstinate[H8765] H5414, that he might deliver[H8800] H3027him into thy handH3117, as appeareth this day.

³¹ H3068And the LORDH559said[H8799] H7200unto me, Behold[H8798] H2490, I have begun[H8689] H5414to give[H8800] H5511SihonH776and his landH6440beforeH2490thee: begin[H8685] H3423to possess[H8798] H3423, that thou mayest inherit[H8800] H776his land.

³² H5511Then SihonH3318came out[H8799] H7125against[H8800] H5971us, he and all his peopleH4421, to fightH3096at Jahaz.

³³ H3068And the LORDH430our GodH5414delivered[H8799] H6440him beforeH5221us; and we smote[H8686] H1121him, and his sonsH5971, and all his people.

³⁴ H3920And we took[H8799] H5892all his citiesH6256at that timeH2763, and utterly destroyed[H8686] H4962the menH802, and the womenH2945, and the little onesH5892, of every cityH7604, we left[H8689] H8300none to remain:

³⁵ H929Only the cattleH962we took for a prey[H8804] H7998unto ourselves, and the spoilH5892of the citiesH3920which we took[H8804] .

³⁶ H6177From AroerH8193, which is by the brinkH5158of the riverH769of ArnonH5892, and from the cityH5158that is by the riverH1568, even unto GileadH7151, there was not one cityH7682too strong[H8804] H3068for us: the LORDH430our GodH5414delivered[H8804] H6440all unto us:

³⁷ H776Only unto the landH1121of the childrenH5983of AmmonH7126thou camest[H8804] H3027not, nor unto any placeH5158of the riverH2999JabbokH5892, nor unto the citiesH2022in the mountainsH3068, nor unto whatsoever the LORDH430our GodH6680forbad[H8765]  us.
