Therefore I will cast y’all out of this land into the land that y’all have not known, neither you* nor your* ancestors. There y’all will serve other gods day and night, for I will show y’all no mercy.’


“The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond. It is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of y’all’s altars.


The high places of Aven, the sin of Israel, will be destroyed. The thorn and the thistle will grow up over their altars. They will tell the mountains, “Y’all cover us!” and the hills, “Y’all fall on us!”


If Gilead is wicked, surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls. Indeed, their altars are like heaps in the furrows of the field.


Their deeds won’t allow them to turn to their God, for the spirit of prostitution is within them, and they don’t know YHWH.


There y’all will serve gods made by human hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
