When he had reclined at the table with them, he took the bread, blessed and broke it, and began giving it to them.


Then they told the story of what happened on the road, and how they recognized Jesus when he broke the bread.


They all joined together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers in constant prayer with one mind.


When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and exhorted them all to remain true to the Lord with purpose in their hearts.


strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith, saying, “We must go through many persecutions to enter the Empire of God.”


Every day, they devoted themselves to being of one mind in the temple, and breaking bread in homes. They ate their food with gladness and sincerity of heart,


Then he went back upstairs and broke bread and ate. Paul talked a long while until dawn, and then departed.


On the first day of the week we gathered together to break bread. Paul began speaking to them, and because he was about to depart on the next day, he continued his message until midnight.


After they were let go, they went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.


When they had prayed, the place where they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.


But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the deacon-work of the word.”


rejoicing in hope, enduring in oppression, persisting in prayer,


Y’all can’t both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. Y’all can’t both partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.


Now I praise y’all because y’all remember me in all things and hold firm the traditions, just as I delivered them to y’all.


But now, siblings, if I come to y’all speaking in tongues, how would I help y’all unless I speak to y’all with revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?


I marvel that y’all are so quickly deserting the one who called you* in the grace of Christ to a different gospel,


being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone,


Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and be watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints.


because of y’all’s partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,


if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, was made a deacon.


Y’all are to be devoted to prayer, being watchful with thanksgiving,


But you must remain in the things which you have learned and become convinced of, because you know those from whom you have learned,


not forsaking our own meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another all the more as y’all see the Day approaching.


But we are not among those who shrink back to destruction, but among those who have faith that preserves the soul.


What we have seen and heard we declare to y’all so that y’all may also have fellowship with us. Indeed, our fellowship is with the Father and with ʜɪꜱ Son, Jesus Christ.


But if we walk in the light as ʜᴇ is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus ʜɪꜱ Son, cleanses us from all sin.


They went out from us, but they did not belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But they left, so that they might reveal that none of them belong to us.


But y’all, beloved, keep building yourselves* up in y’all’s most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.
