Y’all are to strengthen the weak hands, and steady weak knees.


Whoever doesn’t take up their cross and follow after me isn’t worthy of me.


Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone desires to come after me, they must deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow me.


Again I tell y’all, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter into the Empire of God.”


who will not receive one hundred times more now in this present age: houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life.


If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out. It is more beautiful for you to enter into the Empire of God with one eye than to be thrown into hell with two eyes


Wasn’t it necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and then enter into his glory?”


If the world hates y’all, y’all should know that it hated me before it hated y’all.


Remember what I told y’all: ‘A servant is not greater than his lord.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute y’all. If they obey my word, they will obey y’all’s too.


I have told y’all these things so that in me y’all may have peace. In the world y’all have oppression, but cheer up! I have conquered the world.”


Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, no one can enter into the Empire of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.


When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and exhorted them all to remain true to the Lord with purpose in their hearts.


and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year, they met together with the church and taught a considerable number of people. The disciples were first called ‘Christians’ in Antioch.


The disciples decided to send help to the siblings living in Judea, each according to their means.


When the synagogue had been dismissed, many of the Jews and of the God-fearing proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who spoke with them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.


But while the disciples stood around him, he got up and went back into the city. The next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.


So they spent considerable time with the disciples.


Judas and Silas, who were also prophets, encouraged and strengthened the siblings with a lengthy message.


He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.


After spending some time there, he set out and passed successively through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.


So the word of God spread, the number of the disciples increased rapidly in Jerusalem, and a large group of the priests became obedient to the faith.


I will show him how much he must suffer on behalf of my name.”


And if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ if we suffer with him, so that we may also be glorified with him.


He will also establish y’all until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.


For it has been granted to y’all on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf,


if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, was made a deacon.


so that he may strengthen y’all’s hearts to be blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.


So don’t be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner. Instead, join with me in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,


Indeed, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.


To this y’all were called, because Christ suffered for y’all, leaving an example, so that y’all would follow his steps.


But after y’all have suffered a little while, may the God of all grace, who called y’all to his eternal glory in Christ, restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish y’all.


Y’all must resist him firmly in faith, knowing that y’all’s siblings are undergoing the same sufferings around the world.


For in this way, y’all will be abundantly provided with an entrance into the eternal Empire of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.


Beloved, while I was very eager to write to y’all about our common salvation, I felt compelled to write exhorting y’all to contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.


I John, y’all’s sibling and partner in the tribulation, the empire, and the perseverance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.


Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look! The devil is about to throw some of y’all into prison to test y’all, and y’all will have tribulation for ten days. You are to be faithful to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.


I told him, “My lord, you know.” He said to me, “These are the ones who came out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
