He read from it before the wide place that was in front of the water gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women, and of those who could understand. The ears of all the people were attentive to the book of the law.


They stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of YHWH their God a fourth part of the day; and a fourth part they confessed and worshiped YHWH their God.


[Now when he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.


He took bread, and after giving thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for y’all. Y’all do this in remembrance of me.”


Then they told the story of what happened on the road, and how they recognized Jesus when he broke the bread.


On the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.


On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, when disciples were together with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood in the middle of them and said, “Peace be with y’all.”


After eight days, again his disciples were inside and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood in the middle of them, and said, “Peace be with y’all.”


After he saw the vision, we immediately prepared to go to Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.


They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer.


Every day, they devoted themselves to being of one mind in the temple, and breaking bread in homes. They ate their food with gladness and sincerity of heart,


Then he went back upstairs and broke bread and ate. Paul talked a long while until dawn, and then departed.


So y’all must be on guard! Remember that for a period of three years I never stopped warning each of y’all night and day with tears.


But they had gone ahead and were waiting for us at Troas.


but a young man named Eutychus who was sitting in the window, began sinking into a deep sleep. As Paul continued to speak, he was so weighed down by sleep that he fell down from the third floor and was picked up dead.


After appointing a day for him, they came to his lodging in even larger numbers. He explained to them from morning until evening, testifying about the Empire of God, working to persuade them about Jesus from the law of Moses and the prophets.


Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing of the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing of the body of Christ?


But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not futile. No, I worked more than all of them–yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.


On the first day of every week, each of y’all should save some according to your prosperousness, so that no collections are made when I come.


Preach the word, Be ready in season and out of season Correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and instruction.


I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and behind me I heard a loud voice like a trumpet
