I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she will be a mother of nations. Kings of peoples will come from her.*


But my covenant I establish with Yitzchak, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year.*


He said, *I will certainly return to you when the season comes round. Behold, Sarah your wife will have a son.* Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind him.


The LORD said to Avraham, *Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Will I really bear a child, yet I am old?'


Then Sarah denied, saying, *I didn't laugh,* for she was afraid. He said, *No, but you did laugh.*


The LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did to Sarah as he had spoken.


Sarah conceived, and bore Avraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

Relent, LORD! How long? Have compassion on your servants!
