Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes round, and Sarah will have a son.*


But he stands alone, and who can oppose him? What his soul desires, even that he does.


*Dominion and fear are with him. He makes shalom in his high places.


Then Iyov answered the LORD,


Whatever the LORD pleased, that he has done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps;


You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar.


won't God search this out? For he knows the secrets of the heart.


There are many plans in a man's heart, but the LORD's counsel will prevail.


I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; and God has done it, that men should fear before him.


For the LORD of Armies has planned, and who can stop it? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?*


Yes, since the day was I am he; and there is no one who can deliver out of my hand. I will work, and who can hinder it?*
