and he said, Listen you, all Yehudah, and you inhabitants of Yerushalayim, and you king Yehoshafat: Thus says the LORD to you, Don't be afraid you, neither be dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.
Listen to me, house of Ya`akov, and all the remnant of the house of Yisra'el, that have been borne [by me] from their birth, that have been carried from the womb;
Listen to me, O Ya`akov, and Yisra'el my called: I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
For as the belt cleaves to the waist of a man, so have I caused to cleave to me the whole house of Yisra'el and the whole house of Yehudah, says the LORD; that they may be to me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
At that time, says the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Yisra'el, and they shall be my people.
Death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue that remain of this evil family, that remain in all the places where I have driven them, says the LORD of Armies.
