For I have not lived in a house since the day I brought up Israel to this day, but I have gone from tent to tent and from dwelling to dwelling.


For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars.”


He gives them security, and they are supported, and his eyes are upon their ways.


The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.


Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high,


Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!


The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.


In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.


He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.


The Lord looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man;


would not God discover this? For he knows the secrets of the heart.

Sing praises to the Lord, who sits enthroned in Zion! Tell among the peoples his deeds!


The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.


Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?


“I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”


Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.


Hear, you peoples, all of you; pay attention, O earth, and all that is in it, and let the Lord God be a witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.


But the Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before him.”


Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.


And whoever swears by the temple swears by it and by him who dwells in it.


But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God,


“‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is the place of my rest?


who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.


And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.


At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne.
