They tell me:\par “Call to the Lord for help.\par Maybe he will save you.\par If he likes you so much,\par then surely he will rescue you!”\par

People walked by and said bad things to Jesus. They shook their heads and said, “You said you could destroy the temple {\cf2\super [227]} and build it again in three days.


Even Christ did not live trying to please himself. It was like the Scriptures {\cf2\super [144]} said \{about him\}: “Those people that insulted you have also insulted me.” {\cf2\super [145]}


We should always follow the example of Jesus. Jesus is the leader in our faith. And he makes our faith perfect. He suffered death on the cross. But Jesus accepted the shame of the cross like it was nothing. He did this because of the joy that God put before him. And now he is sitting at the right side of God’s throne.


So we should go to Jesus outside the camp. We should accept the same shame that Jesus had.
