They were amazed at Jesus’ teaching, because he spoke with authority (power).
The Samaritans went to Jesus. They begged Jesus to stay with them. So Jesus stayed there two days.
The people said to the woman, “First we believed in Jesus because of what you told us. But now we believe because we heard him ourselves. We know now that he really is the one that will save the world.”
It is not the body that gives a person life. It is the spirit that gives life. The things I told you are spirit. And so these things give life.
The temple police answered, “The things he says are greater than the words of any person we’ve ever heard!”

The church helped the men leave on the trip. These men went through the countries of Phoenicia and Samaria. In these countries they told all about how the non-Jewish people had turned to the true God. This made all the brothers very happy.
But Philip told the people the Good News {\cf2\super [159]} about the kingdom of God and the power of Jesus Christ. Men and women believed Philip. They were baptized. {\cf2\super [160]}
Then the two apostles {\cf2\super [169]} told the people the things they had seen \{Jesus do\}. The apostles told the people the message {\cf2\super [170]} of the Lord. Then they went back to Jerusalem. On the way they went through many Samaritan towns and told people the Good News. {\cf2\super [171]}
Nothing in all the world can be hidden from God. He can clearly see all things. Everything is open before him. And to him we must explain the way we have lived.
