This made me hate life. It made me very sad to think that everything in this life {\cf2\super [10]} is useless, like trying to catch the wind. {\cf2\super [11]}


Any person that loves his life \{more than he loves me\} will lose true life. Any person that gives up his life for me will find true life.


The person that wants to save his life will lose it. And every person that gives his life for me will save it.


And every person that has left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, children, or farms to follow me will get much more than he left. And that person will have life forever.


“If a person comes to me, but will not leave his father, mother, wife, children, brothers, or sisters, then that person cannot be my follower. A person must love me more than he loves anything—even his own life!


The person that tries to save his life will lose it. But the person that gives his life away will save it.


I don’t care about my own life. The most important thing is that I finish my work. I want to finish the work that the Lord Jesus gave me to do—to tell people the Good News about God’s grace (kindness).


But Paul said, “Why are you crying? Why are you making me so sad? I am ready to be tied in Jerusalem. I am also ready to die for the name of the Lord Jesus!”


People that had died were raised from death, and they were given back to the women in their family. Other people were tortured {\cf2\super [157]} and refused to accept their freedom. They did this so that they could be raised from death to a better life.


Our brothers defeated him by the blood (death) of the Lamb and by the message \{of God\} they told people. They did not love their lives too much. They were not afraid of death.
