God, you are the Holy One.\par You sit as King.\par The praises of Israel are your throne.\par


Lord, how long will wicked people\par have their fun?\par How much longer, Lord?\par


You seem like a man that has been attacked by surprise.\par You seem like a soldier that does not have the power to save anyone.\par But Lord, you are with us.\par We are called by your name,\par So don’t leave us without help!”\par


Even when I cry out and ask for help,\par the Lord does not listen to my prayer.\par


Then the Lord’s angel said, “Lord, how long before you comfort Jerusalem and the cities of Judah? You have shown your anger at these cities for 70 years now.”


These souls shouted in a loud voice, “Holy and true Lord, how long until you judge the people of the earth and punish them for killing us?”
