People that are easily angered cause trouble. But a patient person causes peace.


The men that arrested Jesus led him to the house of Caiaphas the high priest. {\cf2\super [413]} The teachers of the law and the older Jewish leaders were gathered there.


But I tell you, don’t be angry with another person. Every person is your brother. If you are angry with other people, you will be judged. And if you say bad things to another person, you will be judged by the Jewish council. And if you call another person a fool, you will be in danger of the fire of hell.


One day Jesus was in the temple {\cf2\super [310]} area. He was teaching the people. Jesus told the people the Good News \{about the kingdom of God\}. The leading priests, teachers of the law, and older Jewish leaders came to talk to Jesus.


But the Jews caused some of the important religious women and the leaders of the city to become angry and to be against Paul and Barnabas. These people did things against Paul and Barnabas and threw them out of town.


But some of the Jews did not believe. These Jews excited the non-Jewish people and made them think bad things about the brothers (believers).


But when the Jews in Thessalonica learned that Paul was telling the word of God in Berea, they came to Berea too. The Jews from Thessalonica upset the people in Berea and made trouble.


Gallio became the governor of the country of Achaia. At that time, some of the Jews came together against Paul. They took Paul to the court.


The seven days were almost finished. But some Jews from Asia {\cf2\super [428]} saw Paul in the temple {\cf2\super [429]} area. They caused all the people to be upset, and they grabbed Paul.


They grabbed the apostles {\cf2\super [91]} and put them in jail.


The soldiers brought the apostles {\cf2\super [96]} to the meeting and made them stand before the Jewish leaders. The high priest {\cf2\super [97]} questioned the apostles.


So the Jews paid some men to say, “We heard Stephen say bad things against Moses {\cf2\super [119]} and against God!”
