David also gave a share of bread, a raisin cake and some date bread, to every man and woman of Israel. Then all the people went home.
All of the people of Israel were standing there. So King Solomon turned to them and asked God to bless them.
Then King Solomon prayed a long prayer to the Lord. This is what he said:
Then, in a loud voice, he asked God to bless all the people of Israel. Solomon said:
After David had finished giving the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he used the Lord’s name to bless the people.
The priests and the Levites stood up and asked the Lord to bless the people. God heard them. Their prayer came up to the Lord’s holy home in heaven.
When Hezekiah and the leaders came, they saw the piles of things that were collected. They praised the Lord and his people, the people of Israel.
King Solomon turned around and blessed all the people of Israel gathered in front of him.
People walking by them will not say,\par “May the Lord bless you.”\par People will not greet them and say,\par “We bless you in the name of the Lord.”\par
Moses looked closely at all the work. Moses saw that the work was done exactly like the Lord had commanded. So Moses blessed them.
God has sent his special servant (Jesus). God sent him to you first. God sent Jesus to bless you. He does this by making each of you turn away from doing bad things.”
