¹ I have had many enemies all my life.\par

² I have had many enemies all my life.\par But they never won.\par

³ They beat me until I had deep cuts\par in my back.\par I had long and deep wounds.\par

⁴ But the good Lord cut the ropes\par and set me free from those evil people.\par

⁵ The people who hated Zion {\cf2\super [615]} were defeated.\par They stopped fighting and ran away.\par

⁶ Those people were like grass on the roof.\par That grass dies before it has time to grow.\par

⁷ A worker can’t get a handful of that grass.\par There is not enough for a pile of grain.\par

⁸ People walking by them will not say,\par “May the Lord bless you.”\par People will not greet them and say,\par “We bless you in the name of the Lord.”\par
