My home, my shepherd’s tent,\par is being pulled down\par and taken from me.\par I am finished\par like the cloth a man rolls up\par and cuts from the loom. {\cf2\super [367]} \par You finished my life in such a short time!\par


\{Then the Lord God made the people excited about building the temple\}. Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel was the governor of Judah. The Lord made him excited! Joshua son of Jehozadak was the high priest. The Lord made him excited! And the Lord made all the people excited \{about building the temple\}. So they began working on the temple {\cf2\super [5]} of their God, the Lord All-Powerful.


So I say that we have confidence. And we really want to be away from this body and be at home with the Lord.


And I know that I am right to think like this about all of you. I am sure because I have you in my heart—I feel very close to you. I feel close to you because all of you share in God’s grace (kindness) with me. You share in God’s grace with me while I am in prison, while I am defending the Good News, {\cf2\super [5]} and while I am proving the truth of the Good News.


All I want is to know Christ and the power of his rising from death. I want to share in Christ’s sufferings and become like him in his death.


That is why I want you to remember the gift God gave you. God gave you that gift when I put my hands on {\cf2\super [3]} you. Now I want you to use that gift and let it grow more and more, like a small flame grows into a fire.


Don’t forget those people in prison. Remember them like you are in prison with them. And don’t forget those people who are suffering. Remember them like you are suffering with them.


You know these things. You are very strong in the truth you have. But I will always help you to remember these things.


I know that I must soon leave this body. Our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me that.


My friends, this is the second letter I have written to you. I wrote both letters to you to help your honest minds remember something.
