Man’s life is like a flower. He grows quickly, and then dies away. Man’s life is like a shadow that is here for a short time, and then it is gone.


My spirit is broken;I am ready to give up.My life is almost gone,the grave is waiting for me.


People die from dawn to sunset,\par and no one even notices.\par They die and are gone forever.\par


I wish God would crush me,\par just go ahead and kill me!\par


My life is almost finished,\par like the long shadows\par at the end of the day.\par I am like dry and dying grass.\par


Even the leaders said bad things about me.\par But I am your servant, Lord,\par and I study your laws.\par


I was afraid, and I said,\par “I am in a place where God can’t see me.”\par But I prayed to you, God,\par and you heard my loud prayers for help.\par

But Babylon will not continue to be beautiful. People will not continue to live there in the future. Arabs will not put their tents there. Shepherds will not bring their sheep to let them eat there.


We know that \{our body\}—the tent we live in here on earth—will be destroyed. But when that happens, God will have a home for us to live in. It will not be a home made by men. It will be a home in heaven that will continue forever.


While we live in this tent (body), we have burdens and we complain. I don’t mean that we want to remove this tent (body). But we want to be clothed \{with our heavenly home\}. Then this body that dies will be fully covered with life.


You will fold them like a coat.\par And they will be changed like clothes.\par But you never change.\par And your life will never end.”\par \i (Psalm 102:25-27)\i0 \par


You don’t know what will happen tomorrow! Your life is like a fog. You can see it for a short time, but then it goes away.
