2 Timothy 1:6 - Easy To Read Version

6 That is why I want you to remember the gift God gave you. God gave you that gift when I put my hands on {\cf2\super [3]} you. Now I want you to use that gift and let it grow more and more, like a small flame grows into a fire.

And all the women who were skilled and wanted to help made cloth from the goat hair.


Then Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and all the other skilled people that the Lord had given special skills to. And these people came because they wanted to help with the work.


But you should remember me. We should meet together and decide what is right. You should tell the things \{you have done\} and show you are right.


So he called ten of his servants together. He gave a bag of money {\cf2\super [300]} to each servant. The man said, ‘Do business with this money until I come back.’


Then Paul put his hands on them {\cf2\super [381]} and the Holy Spirit {\cf2\super [382]} came into them. They began speaking different languages and prophesying. {\cf2\super [383]}


Then they put these men before the apostles. {\cf2\super [112]} The apostles prayed and put their hands on {\cf2\super [113]} the men.


Don’t stop the work of the \{Holy\} Spirit. {\cf2\super [16]}


Remember to use the gift that you have. That gift was given to you through a prophecy {\cf2\super [19]} when the group of elders {\cf2\super [20]} put their hands on {\cf2\super [21]} you.


Tell these things to the brothers and sisters there. This will show that you are a good servant of Christ Jesus. You will show that you are made strong by the words of faith and good teaching that you have followed.


Continue telling the people these things. And warn those people before God not to argue about words. Arguing about words does not help any person. And it ruins those people who listen.


Tell people God’s message. {\cf2\super [20]} Be ready at all times. Tell people the things they need to do, tell them when they are wrong, and encourage them. Do these things with great patience and careful teaching.


At that time we were taught about baptisms, {\cf2\super [44]} and about the special act of a person putting his hands on people. {\cf2\super [45]} We were taught about people rising from death and about the judgment that will continue forever. But now we need to go forward to more mature (advanced) teaching. {\cf2\super [46]}


You know these things. You are very strong in the truth you have. But I will always help you to remember these things.


My friends, this is the second letter I have written to you. I wrote both letters to you to help your honest minds remember something.
