Ahab the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah had their kings’ robes on. They were sitting on their thrones at the threshing floor {\cf2\super [214]} near the front gate of the city of Samaria. Those 400 prophets were speaking their messages in front of the two kings.

Zedekiah was the son of a man named Kenaanah. Zedekiah made some horns from iron. Zedekiah said, “This is what the Lord says: ‘You will use these iron horns to stab the Aramean people until they are destroyed.”


King Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, “I will change my appearance before I go into battle. But you wear your own robes.” So Ahab, king of Israel changed his appearance, and the two kings went into battle.


Then King Ahab called one of his officials and said, “Hurry, bring Micaiah the son of Imlah here!”


Sheol, {\cf2\super [148]} \{the place of death\} is excited\par because you are coming.\par Sheol is waking the spirits of all\par the leaders of the earth for you.\par Sheol is making the kings stand\par from their thrones.\par They will be ready for your coming.\par


Then all the leaders of the countries by the sea will step down from their thrones \{and show their sadness\}. They will take off their special robes. They will take off their beautiful clothes. Then they will put on their ‘clothes of shaking’ (fear). They will sit on the ground and shake with fear. They will be shocked at how quickly you were destroyed.


“As I was looking,\par thrones were put in their places.\par And the Ancient King {\cf2\super [76]} \par sat on his throne.\par His clothes were very white;\par They were white like snow.\par The hair on his head was white;\par it was white like wool.\par His throne was made from fire.\par And the wheels of his throne were made from flames.\par


Really, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No! Those people that wear fine clothes live in king’s palaces.


Jesus said to the followers, “I tell you the truth. When the new world is made, the Son of Man {\cf2\super [270]} will sit on his great throne. And all of you that followed me will also sit on thrones. You will sit on twelve thrones and you will judge the twelve family groups of Israel. {\cf2\super [271]}


But I tell you that even Solomon, the great and rich king, was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers.


Boaz went to the place where people gather near the city gates. Boaz sat there until the close relative [24] Boaz had mentioned passed by. Boaz called to him, “Come here, friend! Sit here!”
