Now leave me alone, so that my anger can burn against them and I can destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.’
When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will refuse to look at you; even if you offer countless prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood.
‘As for you, do not pray for these people. Do not raise up a cry or a prayer on their behalf, for I will not be listening when they call out to me at the time of their disaster.
Then the Lord said to me, ‘Even if Moses and Samuel should stand before me, my heart would not go out to these people. Send them from my presence, and let them go.
You have left me.’ This is the Lord’s declaration. ‘You have turned your back, so I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you. I am tired of showing compassion.
Should good be repaid with evil? Yet they have dug a pit for me. Remember how I stood before you to speak good on their behalf, to turn your anger from them.
Because of this, the earth will mourn; the skies above will grow dark. I have spoken; I have planned, and I will not relent or turn back from it.’
Don’t you see how they behave in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
Then they will cry out to the Lord, but he will not answer them. He will hide his face from them at that time because of the crimes they have committed.
Leave me alone, and I will destroy them and blot out their name under heaven. Then I will make you into a nation stronger and more numerous than they.”
If anyone sees a fellow believer committing a sin that doesn’t lead to death, he should ask, and God will give life to him #– #to those who commit sin that doesn’t lead to death. There is sin that leads to death. I am not saying he should pray about that.
