Then Micaiah said, ‘Therefore, hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne,  and the whole heavenly army  was standing by him at his right hand and at his left hand.


Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, ‘Hear the word of the Lord:


A man from Baal-shalishah  came to the man of God with his sack full of  twenty loaves of barley bread from the first bread of the harvest. Elisha said, ‘Give it to the people to eat.’


So there was a severe famine  in Samaria, and they continued the siege against it until a donkey’s head sold for 880 grams  of silver, and a cup  of dove’s dung  sold for 55 grams  of silver.


While Elisha was still speaking with them, the messenger  came down to him. Then he said, ‘This disaster is from the Lord. Why should I wait for the Lord any longer? ’


Then the people went out and plundered the Aramean camp.  It was then that seven litres of fine flour sold for ten grams of silver and fourteen litres of barley sold for ten grams of silver, according to the word of the Lord.


But Moses said to the people, ‘Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and see  the Lord’s salvation that he will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again.


‘I have heard the complaints of the Israelites. Tell them: At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will eat bread until you are full. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.’


I will make a distinction  between my people and your people. This sign will take place tomorrow.’


Hear the word of the  Lord, you rulers of Sodom! Listen to the instruction of our God, you people of Gomorrah!


He said to me, ‘Prophesy concerning these bones and say to them: Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!


‘There’s a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish #– #but what are they for so many? ’


Joshua told the people, ‘Consecrate yourselves,  because the Lord will do wonders  among you tomorrow.’


Then I heard something like a voice among the four living creatures say, ‘A litre of wheat for a denarius,  and three litres of barley for a denarius,  but do not harm the oil and the wine.’


He told the messengers who had come, ‘Tell this to the men of Jabesh-gilead: “Deliverance will be yours tomorrow by the time the sun is hot.” ’ So the messengers told the men of Jabesh, and they rejoiced.


Samuel told Saul, ‘The Lord sent me to anoint you as king over his people Israel.  Now, listen to the words of the Lord.
