9 He told the messengers who had come, ‘Tell this to the men of Jabesh-gilead: “Deliverance will be yours tomorrow by the time the sun is hot.” ’ So the messengers told the men of Jabesh, and they rejoiced.

David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh-gilead and said to them, ‘The Lord bless you because you have shown this kindness to Saul your lord when you buried him.


all their brave men set out and retrieved the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons and brought them to Jabesh. They buried their bones under the oak  in Jabesh  and fasted for seven days.


They asked, ‘Which city among the tribes of Israel didn’t come to the Lord at Mizpah? ’ It turned out that no one from Jabesh-gilead had come to the camp and the assembly.


Then the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, ‘Tomorrow we will come out, and you can do whatever you want to us.’


Saul counted them at Bezek.  There were three hundred thousand  , Israelites and thirty thousand  men from Judah.


When the residents of Jabesh-gilead  heard what the Philistines had done to Saul,
