Then I liftedup my eyesand looked,and there twowomenwere comingout with the windin their wings;and they had wingslike the wingsof a stork,and they liftedup the ephahbetweenthe earthand the heavens.
Wherethe birdsbuildtheir nests,[And] the stork,whose homeis the firtrees.
"Eventhe storkin the skyKnowsher seasons;And the turtledoveand the swiftand the thrushObservethe timeof their migration;But My peopledo not knowThe ordinanceof the LORD.
[Put] the trumpetto your lips!Like an eagle[the enemy comes] againstthe houseof the LORD,Becausethey have transgressedMy covenantAnd rebelledagainstMy law.
These,moreover, you shall detestamongthe birds;they are abhorrent,not to be eaten:the eagleand the vultureand the buzzard,
and the stork,the heronin its kinds,and the hoopoe,and the bat.
I saidto the angelwho was speakingwith me, "Whereare they takingthe ephah?"
"Whereverthe corpseis, therethe vultureswill gather.
"The LORDwill bringa nationagainstyou from afar,from the endof the earth,as the eagleswoopsdown,a nationwhoselanguageyou shall not understand,
