Wretchedmanthat I am! Whowill set me freefrom the bodyof thisdeath?
whateverprayeror supplicationis madeby anyman[or] by allYour peopleIsrael,eachknowingthe afflictionof his own heart,and spreadinghis handstowardthishouse;
To hearthe groaningof the prisoner,To setfreethosewhowere doomedto death,
I openedmy mouthwideand panted,For I longedfor Your commandments.
Troubleand anguishhave comeupon me, [Yet] Your commandmentsare my delight.
I have goneastraylike a lostsheep;seekYour servant,For I do not forgetYour commandments.
My soulis crushedwith longingAfterYour ordinancesat alltimes.
For Your arrowshave sunkdeepinto me, And Your handhas presseddownon me.
I am wearywith my sighing;EverynightI make my bedswim,I dissolvemy couchwith my tears.
Saying,"Godhas forsakenhim; Pursueand seizehim, for thereis nooneto deliver."
For he will deliverthe needywhen he criesfor help,The afflictedalso, and him who hasnohelper.
Forsakenamong the dead,Likethe slainwho liein the grave,WhomYou remembernomore,And they are cutofffrom Your hand.
The LORDsaidto him, "Gothrough the midstof the city,[even] through the midstof Jerusalem,and puta markon the foreheadsof the menwho sighand groanoverallthe abominationswhich are being committedin its midst."
He will againhavecompassionon us; He will treadour iniquitiesunderfoot.Yes, You will castalltheir sinsInto the depthsof the sea.
"Blessedare thosewho mourn,for they shall be comforted.
"Blessedare thosewho hungerand thirstfor righteousness,for they shall be satisfied.
"THE SPIRITOF THE LORDIS UPON ME, BECAUSEHE ANOINTEDME TO PREACH THE GOSPELTO THE POOR.HE HAS SENTME TO PROCLAIMRELEASETO THE CAPTIVES,AND RECOVERY OF SIGHTTO THE BLIND,TO SETFREETHOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,
knowingthis,that our oldselfwas crucifiedwith [Him], in orderthat our bodyof sinmight be done awaywith, so that we would no longerbe slavesto sin;
for ifyou are livingaccordingto the flesh,you mustdie;but ifby the Spirityou are putting to deaththe deedsof the body,you will live.
For the lawof the Spiritof lifein ChristJesushas set you freefrom the lawof sinand of death.
And not onlythis, but alsowe ourselves,havingthe first fruitsof the Spirit,evenwe ourselvesgroanwithinourselves,waiting eagerlyfor [our] adoption as sons,the redemptionof our body.
In the same waythe Spiritalsohelpsour weakness;for we do not knowhowto prayas we should,but the SpiritHimselfintercedesfor [us] with groaningstoo deep for words;
and in Him you were alsocircumcisedwith a circumcisionmade without hands,in the removalof the bodyof the fleshby the circumcisionof Christ;
The Lordwill rescueme from everyevildeed,and will bring me safelyto His heavenlykingdom;to Him [be] the gloryforeverand ever.Amen.
whogaveHimselffor us to redeemus from everylawless deed,and to purifyfor Himselfa peoplefor His ownpossession,zealousfor gooddeeds.
and might freethose whothrough fearof deathwere subjectto slaveryalltheir lives.
and He will wipe awayeverytearfrom their eyes;and there will nolongerbe [any] death;there will nolongerbe [any] mourning,orcrying,orpain;the first thingshave passed away."
