The sixth[angel] pouredout his bowlon the greatriver,the Euphrates;and its waterwas driedup, sothat the waywould be preparedfor the kingsfrom the east.
And the LORDwill utterlydestroyThe tongueof the Seaof Egypt;And He will waveHis handoverthe RiverWith His scorchingwind;And He will strikeit into sevenstreamsAnd make [men] walkover dry-shod.
"I have arousedone from the north,and he has come;From the risingof the sunhe will callon My name;And he will comeupon rulersas [upon] mortar,Even as the pottertreadsclay."
"I will laywastethe mountainsand hillsAnd witheralltheir vegetation;I will makethe riversinto coastlandsAnd dryup the ponds.
"[It is I] who saysto the depthof the sea,'Be driedup!' And I will makeyour riversdry.
Callinga birdof preyfrom the east,The manof My purposefrom a farcountry.TrulyI have spoken;trulyI will bringit to pass.I have planned[it, surely] I will doit.
"Now therefore,behold,the Lordis about to bringon them the strongand abundantwatersof the Euphrates,[Even] the kingof Assyriaand allhis glory;And it will riseup overallits channelsand gooverallits banks.
Thereforethussaysthe LORD,"Behold,I am going to pleadyour caseAnd exactfullvengeancefor you; And I will dryup her seaAnd makeher fountaindry.
The secondwoeis past;behold,the thirdwoeis comingquickly.
And he saidto me, "The waterswhichyou sawwherethe harlotsits,are peoplesand multitudesand nationsand tongues.
And I sawanotherangelascendingfrom the risingof the sun,havingthe sealof the livingGod;and he criedout with a loudvoiceto the fourangelsto whomit was grantedto harmthe earthand the sea,
one sayingto the sixthangelwho hadthe trumpet,"Releasethe fourangelswho are boundat the greatriverEuphrates."
