Lightis sown[like seed] for the righteousAnd gladnessfor the uprightin heart.
For the Jewsthere was lightand gladnessand joyand honor.
"Your lifewould be brighterthannoonday;Darknesswould be like the morning.
"You will also decreea thing,and it will be establishedfor you; And lightwill shineon your ways.
Lightarisesin the darknessfor the upright;[He is] graciousand compassionateand righteous.
For You lightmy lamp;The LORDmy Godilluminesmy darkness.
Singto God,singpraisesto His name;Liftup [a song] for Him who ridesthrough the deserts,Whose nameis the LORD,and exultbeforeHim.
But the pathof the righteousis like the lightof dawn,That shinesbrighterand brighteruntilthe fullday.
"Thenyour lightwill breakout like the dawn,And your recoverywill speedilyspringforth;And your righteousnesswill gobeforeyou; The gloryof the LORDwill be your rearguard.
For Zion'ssakeI will not keepsilent,And for Jerusalem'ssakeI will not keepquiet,Untilher righteousnessgoesforthlike brightness,And her salvationlike a torchthat is burning.
I will bearthe indignationof the LORDBecauseI have sinnedagainst Him, UntilHe pleadsmy caseand executesjusticefor me. He will bringme out to the light,[And] I will seeHis righteousness.
"I have come[as] Lightinto the world,sothat everyonewho believesin Me will not remainin darkness.
For the one who sowsto his ownfleshwill from the fleshreapcorruption,but the one who sowsto the Spiritwill from the Spiritreapeternallife.
And the cityhasnoneedof the sunorof the moonto shineon it, for the gloryof Godhas illuminedit, and its lamp[is] the Lamb.
And there will nolongerbe [any] night;and they will not haveneedof the lightof a lampnorthe lightof the sun,becausethe LordGodwill illuminethem; and they will reignforeverand ever.
